Enhancement of an instrument may become desirable when a congregation relocates or expands into a new or enlarged sanctuary and the acquisition of a new instrument is not indicated. The inclusion of another division or additional ranks for added dimension may be a viable alternative to the purchase of a new organ.

Pictured above is the Holtkamp organ in the Brooks Chapel of Shorter College, Rome, GA. The instrument is one of the last that Walter Holtkamp personally supervised prior to his death shortly thereafter. In 1988 our firm was commissioned to increase the size of the organ by five ranks including the horizontal reed. We replaced the chest action and pneumatic relay with solid state components.  In 2005 the firm was again commissioned to rebuild the electric action console with upgraded memory, new wiring throughout and refinishing.  The instrument is now 35 ranks.
